The Energy Transition – Full Integration of MER and Net Zero

Posted on February 6, 2020March 17, 2020

“Maximising economic recovery of oil and gas does not need to be in conflict with the transition to net zero. They can and should be fully integrated.” – Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) Chairman, 15th January 2020

Our Gas2Wire initiative was conceived to deliver MER, and the efficiencies it can bring to gas-fired power generation are in line with net-zero ambitions – particularly when combined with the potential that post-combustion CCS technology is expected to deliver.  We challenge anyone to propose a more efficient means of decarbonising natural gas for electricity generation.  Equally, if you believe that you can make our process more efficient, we encourage you to get in touch.

Harnessing national natural resources, sourcing, extracting and using them in a responsible, sustainable manner is part of the solution to reducing our reliance on imports and carbon intensity.
